Multihog, the Irish-based vehicle manufacturer, is delighted to announce its entry to the Australian market through its partnership with NSW-based Triking Pty Ltd, and the official launch of its unique multi-purpose vehicles and sweepers on the Australian market.
Triking Pty Ltd. is headed up by director Luke Wiseman, who travelled to Multihog’s HQ in Ireland last year to evaluate their machines. Luke explains how the partnership came about. “I discovered the brand online and having read about the kind of customers they were working with, I knew that it had to be a good product. When I visited the factory and saw the engineering team and design process behind the vehicles, I was 100% sold. I’m really excited and proud to launch Multihog here and be the first official dealer for New South Wales and Victoria.”
Despite local lockdowns featuring heavily since the machine arrived, Luke has hit the ground running. “We’ve just delivered the first Multihog in Australia to Acacia Environmental Management in Melbourne. They’re using it with a chemical-free weed control attachment, which is pretty pioneering considering that there’s nothing like it in our market. It’s a sustainable, eco-friendly weed removal method, and with climate change high on the agenda here, I think it could be a really good solution for our local government.” As a full-service reseller, Triking will provide after-sales support to Acacia, to ensure smooth integration of the new Multihog into their fleet.
Multihog specialises in high quality multi-purpose vehicles and sweepers for the local government, airport, and facilities maintenance markets. Designed to prioritise safety, operator comfort and manoeuvrability, the machines can be fitted with various attachments to carry out a wide range of tasks, including sweeping, mowing, street cleaning and even solar panel cleaning. Over the past 13 years, these versatile machines have been used worldwide by prestigious customers such as DHL, Heathrow Airport, Antwerp Zoo, Montana State University, JFK Airport, and the City of San Francisco.
Tony Duff, Sales Director at Multihog, thinks the vehicles will be an innovative addition to the Australian market. “We’re really excited to be entering this new market with a partner like Triking. Our products are uniquely designed, and I think, in particular, our multi-purpose sweeper and thermal weed control applications will both be welcome solutions for maintenance. We’re planning to grow our presence there over the next 12-18 months by expanding our dealer network in the rest of the States.”
Niall Casey, Market Advisor at Enterprise Ireland ANZ, said of the launch, “We’re really happy that Multihog has chosen Australia and New Zealand as part of their growth plan. They have a superb product and are already successful across Europe and North America, so our office is very much looking forward to supporting their continued expansion here.”
