COVID speeding up Healthcare’s digital transformation

2021 was another transformational year for healthcare systems in Australia and New Zealand still grappling with the impact of Covid-19 outbreaks. The pandemic has brought on a rapid increase in the uptake of telehealth solutions, driving Governments in both countries to invest in developing secure and sustainable digital infrastructures to support health service delivery in the decades to come.

Irish digital health companies OneView Healthcare and Vitro Software continue to make an impact in the region, with newer entrants MEG and T-Pro putting down presences in New Zealand, and SilverCloud Health launching through a partnership in Australia.

In both Australia and New Zealand, digital and data teams in healthcare are looking at an agile approach with interoperability at the core, opening the door for innovative overseas vendors to engage with healthcare systems here.
