We recently held a lively Fieldays® Online inspired webinar where panel members Brendan O’Connell, Gail Hendricks, Shane Dooley, and James Maloney discussed the theme of agricultural innovation across the islands of New Zealand & Ireland.
With all members very experienced judges at the Fieldays Innovation Awards and the Irish National Ploughing Championships Innovation Arena, it was a very insightful conversation into the importance of encouraging and celebrating innovation, and covered many topics including how COVID-19 is changing the course of innovation, the benefits of achieving recognised agri awards, the next generation of young innovators and how the future of the New Zealand and Irish agricultural landscapes are changing thanks to innovative thinking.
A huge thanks to our participants:
- Gail Hendricks, Events Manager, Mystery Creek Events Centre and Innovation Award Leader at Fieldays
- Shane Dooley, Business Innovation Advisor, Callaghan Innovation and Fieldays Innovation Award judge
- James Maloney, Senior Regional Development Executive at Enterprise Ireland, and National Ploughing Champions Innovation Arena leader.
- Brendan O’Connell, Enterprise Ireland’s NZ representative and return judge at both Fieldays and the National Ploughing Championships.
